I designed the packaging for a yoyo inspired by the legendary Palantír—the enchanted crystal ball from The Lord of the Rings. As a licensed product, the design had to stay true to the franchise’s brand style guide, while also capturing the mystery and magic of Middle-earth. My goal was to transform the yoyo into a miniature relic of power, using swirling smoke as a visual motif to evoke the otherworldly energy of the Palantír. The result is a playful yet immersive design that invites fans to imagine the yoyo as more than a toy—a glimpse into Tolkien’s world.
